Title: Business Development Manager (Remote/Hybrid)
We are seeking an experienced and dynamic Business Development Manager to join our cutting-edge technology company. This role is perfect for someone passionate about driving revenue growth, fostering enduring client relationships, and contributing to our company's strategic expansion.
In this remote or hybrid position, you will be responsible for identifying, cultivating, and closing new business opportunities across all our market segments. As the ideal candidate, you will embody our brand, leveraging your deep understanding of our core products to connect with customers and address their evolving needs.
Key Responsibilities:
- Identify and prospect new sales leads through various channels, including cold calling, networking, and attending industry events, conducting in-depth research to inform your sales strategies.
- Collaborate with the business development team to develop and execute strategic plans to achieve growth targets within all market segments.
- Manage the entire sales cycle, from lead generation to opportunity close, effectively tracking and reporting progress using our CRM (Microsoft Dynamics).
- Conduct thorough needs assessments to understand customers' challenges and objectives, proposing tailored solutions to address their unique requirements.
- Prepare and deliver compelling sales presentations, proposals, and product demonstrations to prospective customers, showcasing the value proposition of our software and services.
- Prepare contract terms and pricing agreements, ensuring favorable outcomes for both the customer and our company.
- Collaborate with internal teams to ensure alignment of sales strategies with product offerings and market trends, sharing feedback from sales leads to help drive strategy.
- Monitor industry trends, competitive landscape, and emerging technologies to identify new avenues for business growth.
- Stay informed about our product suite and advocate for enhancements to solutions, ensuring our solutions remain cutting-edge.
- Develop and present compelling status updates for internal executive briefings, ensuring the content is strategically aligned with the interests and priorities of our senior leadership.
- Serve as a representative of our company at key industry events and conferences, engaging with industry leaders, connecting with potential customers, and promoting our cutting-edge solutions.
Qualifications and Skills:
- Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience.
- Strong understanding of the assessment technology landscape, with at least 5 years of experience in test development and/or test delivery.
- Proven track record of success in business-to-business sales, with 5-10+ years of experience in selling technology solutions or SaaS products.
- Proficiency in CRM software (e.g., Salesforce, Dynamics) and MS Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
- Willingness to travel as needed to meet with clients and attend industry events.
- Experience in managing strategic customer accounts and sustaining robust relationships is considered a plus.
- Demonstrated ability to build and nurture client relationships, instilling trust and confidence with customers, and influencing key stakeholders at all levels of an organization.
- Strategic thinker with a results-oriented mindset, capable of developing and executing effective sales strategies to drive revenue growth.
- Proficient in active listening and effective communication, with the ability to clearly articulate technical concepts to customers and negotiate effectively.
- Exceptional presentation skills, with the ability to deliver compelling sales presentations and proposals to prospective clients.
- Excellent organizational skills, with the ability to effectively manage competing priorities and make decisions that align with the company's strategic objectives.
- Self-motivated, proactive, and reliable, with a passion for exceeding targets, delivering exceptional customer experiences, and following through on commitments.
- A collaborative team player who actively contributes to a positive work culture and fosters teamwork.
