The Business Development Manager is responsible for driving revenue growth by identifying, cultivating, and closing new business opportunities within all ITS market segments. The ideal candidate will embody the ITS brand, leveraging their deep understanding of ITS core products to connect with customers and address the evolving needs of their organizations. This role plays a key part in driving ITS's growth and strategic expansion by fostering new leads into enduring relationships.
The Successful Business Development Manager will: Identify and prospect new sales leads for ITS core products through various channels, including cold calling, networking, and attending industry events, and conduct in-depth research to inform sales strategies and identify opportunities for growth. Collaborate with the business development team to develop and execute strategic plans to achieve growth targets within all market segments. Manage the entire sales cycle, from lead generation to opportunity close, while effectively tracking and reporting progress using CRM (Microsoft Dynamics). Conduct thorough needs assessments to understand customers' challenges and objectives and propose tailored solutions to address their unique requirements. Prepare and deliver compelling sales presentations, proposals, and product demonstrations to prospective customers, showcasing the value proposition of ITS software and services. Prepare contract terms and pricing agreements, ensuring favorable outcomes for both the customer and ITS. Collaborate with internal teams to ensure alignment of sales strategies with product offerings and market trends, sharing feedback from sales leads to help drive strategy. Monitor industry trends, competitive landscape, and emerging technologies to identify new avenues for business growth. Stay informed about ITS's product suite and advocate for enhancements to solutions, ensuring our solutions remain cutting-edge. Develop and present compelling status updates for internal executive briefings, as required, ensuring the content is strategically aligned with the interests and priorities of ITS senior leadership for informed decision-making. Serve as a representative of ITS at key industry events and conferences, engaging with industry leaders, connecting with potential customers, and promoting our cutting-edge solutions. A collaborative team player who actively contributes to a positive work culture and fosters teamwork. Required Qualifications Bachelor's degree preferred or equivalent experience. Strong understanding of the assessment technology landscape, with at least 5 years of experience in test development and/or test delivery. Proven track record of success in business-to-business sales, with 5-10+ years of experience in selling technology solutions or SaaS products. Proficiency in CRM software (e.g. Salesforce, Dynamics) and MS Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint) Willingness to travel as needed to meet with clients and attend industry events. Experience in managing strategic customer accounts and sustaining robust relationships is considered a plus.
