OBJECTIVE/MISSION:

The newly established position of Business Development and Marketing Manager is instrumental in driving new business for Whitco Roofing. Working closely with both our Vice President of Sales, Account Executives, and Chief Operating Officer to identify the right opportunities and build long-term relations with the right prospects. As the Business Development/Marketing Manager you will be responsible for all Marketing initiatives including social media, Conferences as well as Industry Networking events.

DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:

Develop, execute, and oversee a business strategy that prioritizes growth and positive customer ratings.

Maintain positive professional relationships with clients.

Conduct high-level industry research to develop effective sales solutions.

Promote the company's products or services to prospective clients.

Participate in collaborative business meetings to update key stakeholders.

Provide continuous, constructive feedback to salespeople.

Interact with clients and respond to important inquiries about the company's products or services.

· Cultivate new clients and new market segments through cold calling, canvassing, emails, networking, personal contacts, internet research and any other tools possible.

· Manage Marketing efforts to include social media.

· Research and become intimately familiar with your client's corporate structure, corporate office location, other facility locations, market segment, what they offer to their clients and decision-making process.

· Become competent at finding and verifying you are dealing with the decision maker, being a good listener, asking for the sale, earning a last look, and closing deals.

· Prepare effective presentational packages. Make personal presentations to the "purchaser of our goods and services" as required. Verify that you are dealing with the decision maker.

· Maintain positive attitude and appropriate attire.

· Attend/participate in all Industry Specific events.

Candidate Qualifications:

Excel, Word and PowerPoint experience required.

Must have strong phone communication skills.

Ability to effectively interface with a wide range of potential customers and all levels of personnel while demonstrating patience, persistence and flexibility.

Effective problem solving and basic marketing skills required.

A willingness to work well within a team environment is a must.

Highly motivated, results oriented.

Excellent telephone etiquette.

Professional phone voice.

Excellent communication skills.

Analytical, problem solving and organizational/time management skills.

Computer skills (proficient in MS Word and Excel).

A valid State driver's license (in good standing) is required.

18 years of age or older.

Authorized to work in the United States.

Must pass a pre-employment drug test.

Self-motivator.

Education and Experience:

Bachelor's Degree and at least 3 years of relevant experience is strongly preferred; or at least 7 years of relevant experience in commercial business development or the roofing industry; or a combination of education and experience equivalent.

Maintain existing and self-generate new relationships with clients who purchase roofing in a recurring manner. Secure profitable projects in accordance with the company sales and gross profit objectives. Work hard, work safely, make money and have fun!

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: From $60,000.00 per year
