An established, boutique PR agency is looking for a talent business development and client services professional to join their New Jersey based team on a hybrid model.

Business Development & Account Manager – Summary:

In this role, you will primarily focus on managing the agency's efforts to secure new business opportunities in collaboration with senior leadership and the support of subject leads. If you are someone who likes the challenge of breaking down new doors, has the desire to build relationships and the confidence to help tell intelligent stories, this could be the perfect role for you.

Role responsibilities:

Lead targeted outreach in alignment with clearly crafted agency vision to secure introductory meetings and invitations for the agency to bid on new business.
Manage business development committee based on CEO direction, removing roadblocks, and improving collaboration.
Drive proposal process for key opportunities, including customized proposal and presentation development.
Participate in client onboarding process to prepare new clients for full transition to account teams.
Contribute to creative content for marketing activities for the agency's brand, including websites, video, digital advertising, and social media.
Liaise with partner agencies and vendors who can strengthen the agency's offerings and/or provide referral business.
Focus on some account services for a limited number of agency clients.

Key experience required:

4+ years of experience in a PR agency setting or equivalent (media relations, journalism, public affairs), with familiarity of what it means to be in a business development role/capacity.
Experience working with healthcare & life sciences brands.
Familiarity working with different types of projects and deliverables including communications strategy, creative concepting and digital.
Proven ability to build relationships across internal and external stakeholders, including vendors and new business prospects.
Desire to work in a close-net, cross-collaborative team making a difference.
