Location Our West Campus is located at 2400 Gillionville Road, Albany, GA 31707. Our East Campus is located at 504 College Drive, Albany, GA 31705. The Human Resources office for both campuses is located on the West Campus in Building K, Suite 111.
Job Summary The Bursar is responsible for Student Accounts Office and for overseeing the Assistance Bursar, Accountant I, Third Party Specialist, and Accounts Receivable Specialists. The Bursar provides reports, quarterly and yearly, to the Board of Regents and the university. They manage and oversee the operations of student, faculty, and staff accounts. Ensures compliance with University, state, and federal regulations and standard accounting procedures.
Responsibilities Analyzes student accounts. Assists students with issues by email, phone, and Microsoft Teams. Resolves escalated account issues. Oversees the purge process for nonpayment and student reinstatement. Provides Enrollment Management assistance with drops and reinstatements. Manages the student refunding process, accounts receivable, and third-party billing. Assists Specialists and Accountants. Processes refunds in a timely manner. Bills for third party contracts. Invoices student accounts and ASU Foundation accounts. Reconciles all Banner accounts receivable, scholarship, and clearing accounts. Ensures compliance with University, state, and federal regulations and standard accounting procedures. Attends regular meetings to ensure the University is compliant with current regulations Processes 1098t forms for students. Explains the form to students and parents. Provides general guidance for students. Performs other duties as assigned. Required Qualifications Educational Requirements
Bachelor's degree in Accounting Required Experience
5 to 8 years experience in Accounting 2 years of experience using a computer with relevant software like Microsoft Office
