Responsibilities
• On site direction of all Grounds Workers in various grounds maintenance tasks• Provide operational support and continuous onsite Leadership for the zone maintenance effort• Make decisions impacting campus landscape maintenance and improvements• Attend training opportunities to increase technical and supervisory skills• Enforce OSHA and university safety guidelines• Cultivate, mulch, prune, and remove weeds from plant beds• Operate gardening/ground maintenance equipment• Complete ice and snow removal• Handle emergencies effectively• Conduct training to stay current with industry standards
Requirements
• Graduation from high school or possession of a GED• One year of experience in the assigned area or equivalent combination of training and experience• Preferred: Graduation from high school and five years experience, three of which were in a supervisory capacity• Computer literate• Must have valid driver's license
