Responsibilities
• Travel to separate locations to operate and maintain OSU-Center for Health Sciences Physical Plant equipment• Maintain equipment by tightening fittings, re-packing bearings, replacing packing glands, gaskets, valves, and gauges• Clean or replace components using hand tools and power tools• Maintain air handling units by replacing defective belts, bearings, lubricating fans, and replacing filters• Maintain building lighting systems including replacement of fixtures, bulbs, and ballasts• Perform general electrical and plumbing duties• Perform water tests and replace chemicals as needed• Record data such as temperature, hours of operation, water and air pressure• Visually inspect equipment to detect malfunctions or the need for repair• Respond to emergency building system failures for CHS campus and buildings in the evening
Requirements
• High School/GED• 1-4 years of physical plant operations and maintenance experience• Active City of Tulsa First Class Limited Engineer's License or Unlimited Mechanical Journeyman License or equivalent experience and ability to obtain Unlimited Licensure• Valid Oklahoma Driver's License• Advanced knowledge of heating, ventilation, air conditioning, chillers, electrical and plumbing systems• Knowledge of local, state, and federal codes and regulations applicable to OSU campuses• Knowledge of OSHA regulations and safety practices related to boiler rooms• Ability to interpret technical information and understand engineering terminology• Ability to run HVAC equipment, chillers, and boilers• Ability to handle several technical tasks at once and organize daily workload• Ability to work overtime as needed• Ability to interact effectively with staff, faculty, and students• High quality service orientation
