Responsibilities
• Set up and arrange the breakfast area before guests arrive, ensuring tables and counters are clean, organized, and presentable• Stock food, beverages, and supplies necessary for breakfast service, ensuring freshness and quality standards are maintained• Prepare and display breakfast items such as cereals, bread, pastries, fruits, yogurt, and hot food items• Keep food stations clean and well-stocked at all times, replenishing items as needed throughout the breakfast period• Monitor and maintain safe food handling and hygiene practices to uphold health department standards• Interact with guests in a warm and friendly manner, provide information about breakfast options, and address any special dietary requests or allergies• Assist guests with any questions or requests they may have, ensuring their satisfaction and overall positive experience• Handle cash transactions accurately and efficiently, ensuring proper recording of sales• Clean and maintain the breakfast area during and after service, including clearing and sanitizing tables, chairs, food display counters, and equipment• Report any maintenance issues, equipment malfunctions, or other concerns to the appropriate department or manager
Requirements
• Prior experience in the hospitality industry, preferably in a food service role, is desirable• Excellent customer service and communication skills• Ability to work early morning shifts, including weekends and holidays• Strong organizational skills with attention to detail• Ability to stand, walk, bend, lift, and carry heavy items (up to 30 pounds)• Basic math skills for cash handling transactions• Knowledge of food safety and sanitation practices• Friendly and approachable demeanor with a positive attitude• Ability to work both independently and as part of a team
