Branch Manager (Highway Construction) Surface Preparation Technologies, LLC (SPT), the nation's top rumble strip contractor, is seeking a hands-on leader to manage its operations in Royse City, Texas. The ideal candidate will be mechanically inclined and able to learn to operate all pieces of equipment.
General Duties Build a team of best-in-class operators and mechanics at this branch Manage the facility, equipment, and personnel working out of this branch Master the functionality of all rumble strip cutting and ancillary equipment; work in the field as necessary in order to meet customer demands Learn the intricacies of the equipment in order to be able to perform maintenance and help personnel trouble shoot issues Learn the business and master the services provided by the Company Train new operators and employees Discuss job specifications with contractors (customers) and DOT personnel Schedule work to be performed out of this location, coordinating with customers Promote a safe work environment Requirements Must have an active/valid Commercial Drivers License (Class A) Must be proficient in Microsoft Office suite Exceptional communication skills will be required in order to interact effectively with direct reports, management, the DOT, and customers Must be mechanically inclined 5+ years' experience operating heavy equipment; heavy highway preferred 5+ years' experience managing people Previous experience with DOT's preferred Must be willing and able to travel, including travel to other SPT offices throughout the country for training and education Must be a team player, willing to pitch in, and take on any task assigned Must be able to read and understand plans Surface Preparation Technologies, LLC offers excellent benefits to include medical/dental/vision, 401k with match, paid PTO/holidays, year-end bonus, weekly pay cycle and much more!
