This is a Guest Services Associate/Cashier position with a small company managed by a cohesive team of professional that is looking to increase our capability. This position earns a competitive wage of $14.00 - $14.50/hourly , depending on experience. A DAY IN THE LIFE OF A GUEST SERVICES ASSOCIATE/CASHIER Responsible for providing bowling center customers with prompt, friendly and efficient service; providing customers with proper sizing of bowling equipment (ball and shoes) while maintaining cleanliness and organizational standards of equipment throughout the facility; and ensuring maximum utilization of lanes and equipment through efficient control of customer flow.
Role Accountabilities & Expectations: Welcome and acknowledge all guests (speak using clear and professional language). Process all guest check-ins by confirming reservations, assigning lanes and issuing shoes. Answer and process all calls, messages, requests, questions and concerns using appropriate etiquette. Always provide excellent customer service. Accurately assign rental shoes, lockers and billiards tables (if applicable). Clean and apply spray disinfectant to all rental shoes upon return. Track lane availability, assign open lanes, prepare for leagues and start leagues on time. Develop and maintain positive working relationship with coworkers. Accurately record sales at counter and follows cash control procedures. May be responsible for opening and/or closing cash procedures. Promptly notify mechanic of pinspotter/pinsetter malfunctions and log all malfunctions on the call sheet. Assist customers with basic bowling instructions. Explain and troubleshoot automatic scoring equipment. Operates POS equipment, central panel, computers and PA system. Interact with customers upon their departure from the facility by thanking them for their business and inviting them back. Proactively ensure a clean, safe environment is maintained at all times, including follow all company safety and security operating standards by reporting accidents, injuries and unsafe work conditions to management. Comply with quality assurance expectations and standards. Follow all company policies and procedures. Ability to work varying shifts, weekends and holidays, in addition to extended workdays in order to support business needs. Perform other duties and tasks as assigned. QUALIFICATIONS FOR A GUEST SERVICES ASSOCIATE/CASHIER High School Diploma or equivalent and bowling center, restaurant and/or front desk customer service experience preferred, but not required. Must have a proven record of success in school and/or previous job experiences. Possess a highly developed sense of customer service and interpersonal skills, including respect for all individuals and solid communication skills. Must be strong team player. Knowledge of and adherence to workplace safety. Must meet the minimum age required by company operating standards and state law to sell and serve alcohol. Highly organized, strong work ethic and ability to follow instructions. Must be available to work all shifts including nights, weekends and holidays. Must be able to speak, read and comprehend English. Reliable transportation. Must pass and remain in compliance with drug free workplace policies. PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS (as required by OSHA and ADA) Ability to work weekends, holidays and evening hours as business demands. Must be able to spend 100% of working time standing, walking and reaching. Bowling center environment where you will walk, bend and stand for periods of time. May be asked to occasionally lift objects with some assistance. The noise level is typical for bowling. Are you attentive to detail, want to work hard and be rewarded for it?
