Our Boiler Technician is responsible for the installation, maintenance, repair, and troubleshooting of various types of boilers used in industrial, commercial, and residential settings. This role requires a strong understanding of boiler systems, including their components, controls, and safety measures. Installation: Properly install and set up new boiler systems based on manufacturer specifications, local codes, and safety guidelines. Maintenance: Perform routine maintenance tasks on boilers to ensure optimal performance and longevity. This includes cleaning, inspecting, and testing boiler components, such as burners, heat exchangers, and safety devices. Repairs: Diagnose and resolve boiler malfunctions and issues promptly. Troubleshoot problems related to boiler operation, leaks, pressure loss, and other mechanical or electrical faults. Safety Compliance: Ensure that all boiler installations and maintenance adhere to safety standards, regulations, and manufacturer guidelines. Conduct regular safety inspections and implement necessary adjustments. Efficiency Enhancement: Identify opportunities to improve boiler efficiency and propose energy-saving solutions. Optimize combustion processes and heat transfers for better performance. Documentation: Maintain accurate records of boiler maintenance and repair activities, including service reports, parts inventory, and customer communication. Customer Service: Communicate effectively with customers and clients to explain boiler issues, necessary repairs, and maintenance recommendations. Provide outstanding customer service and support. Emergency Response: Respond to emergency boiler breakdowns and perform urgent repairs to minimize downtime and production interruptions. Training: Train and mentor junior Technicians or boiler operators to enhance their knowledge and skills in boiler maintenance and operation. Compliance and Regulations: stay up to date with relevant codes, regulations, and industry best practices related to boiler operations, safety, and environmental standards. Minimum of 3 years of relevant Boiler service & repair experience High school diploma or equivalent. Proven work experience as a Boiler Technician or similar role In-depth knowledge of various types of boilers, their components, controls, and safety mechanisms. Strong understanding of combustion processes, heat transfers, and thermal dynamics. Ability to read and interpret technical manuals, blueprints, and schematics related to boilers. Proficiency in using diagnostic tools and equipment for boiler maintenance and repairs. Excellent troubleshooting and problem-solving skills. Physical ability to lift heavy equipment and perform tasks in confined spaces. Strong communication skills and customer service orientation. Willingness to work flexible hours, including evenings, weekends, and on-call shifts. Working as a Boiler Technician can be physically demanding and requires technical expertise to ensure safe and efficient boiler operation. Successful Boiler Technicians play a critical role in maintaining the functionality of heating systems and ensuring the safety of people and properties relying on these boilers.
