Body Shop Estimator

Job Description:PRIMARY FUNCTION: The estimator is responsible for developing business through insurance adjusters, customers, and other sources to assure an adequate sales volume, provide a reasonable department operating profit, and maintain certain customer satisfaction standards while controlling expenses.  The estimator directs the activities of employees in performing body repairs, including meeting time schedules and productivity levels, and maintaining quality standards.
ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTION/DUTIES: Establish and maintain good working relationships with several insurance adjusters.Establish and maintain good working relationships with customers to encourage repeat and referral business.Works with customer and Body Shop Technician to identify required repair workSchedules appointments with customer and offers additional services and repairsComputes cost of replacement parts and labor to restore vehicle to condition specified by customerEnters itemized estimate on repair order and explains estimate to customerKeeps customer informed and updated throughout the repairsMaintains Customer Satisfaction score at or above designated standardsMust be familiar with and able to adhere to various insurance guidelines Job Requirements:MINIMUM WORK EXPERIENCE/EDUCATIONAL REQUIREMENTS: High school diploma or equivalent, Technical or Trade school degree preferredMust have PA State Appraiser LicenseKnowledge of insurance processes.Must maintain a valid state driver's licensePHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS/WORK ENVIRONMENT: Extended periods of kneeling, bending, squatting and stooping to complete or inspect repairs.Must be able to lift up to 50 pounds at times.
