Job Opportunity: Technology Specialist/Director Bloomfield Community Schools is seeking a Technology Specialist/Director.
Responsibilities:
Oversee district technology infrastructure, software, and devices. Support Office applications, website design, Smart/Promethean boards, Google Classroom, Canvas, and Google applications. Audit and track technology assets. Repair and maintain Chromebooks. Manage Mobile Device Management (MDM). Ensure network connectivity by running cables and labeling wall ports. Manage user accounts. Install and maintain access points for reliable wireless connectivity. Upgrade server operating systems. Qualifications:
Knowledge of computers, electronics, hardware, software, and basic programming/scripting. Proficiency in Mac OS X, Windows, and Linux/UNIX administration. Experience in telecommunications, networking, and network security. Strong communication skills, both oral and written. Active listening and learning skills. Ability to build and maintain cooperative relationships. Team player with excellent problem-solving and time management skills. Competence in installing and maintaining equipment. Preferred: Experience with PowerSchool, Fortinet, Linewize, Active/Open Directory Services, Advanced TCP/IP Networking, and cybersecurity best practices.
