ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS: Responsible for overseeing and coordinating routine billing functions. Professionally handling incoming requests from Sales and customers to ensure that issues are resolved both promptly and thoroughly. Efficiently and thoroughly gathering customer information, access and fulfill customer needs, educating the customer where applicable to prevent the need for future contacts and document interactions through contact tracking. To provide quality service and support in various areas including billing, activations, and system troubleshooting. To handle customer complaints, provide appropriate solutions and alternatives; follow up to ensure resolution. RESPONSIBILITIES INCLUDE BUT ARE NOT LIMITED TO: Verifies accuracy of billing and supporting documentation, as required. Processing payments for customer accounts. Reconcile payments and customer transactions. Generates and distributes invoices in accordance with company guidelines. Researches and responds to billing inquiries from clients in a timely and professional manner. Maintains client rates, addresses, invoices templates, and e-billing information within the system. Submits invoices by mail, email, and to third party e-billing sites. Coordinates appeals for rejected invoices. Provides client accruals, status updates and budgets upon request. Adheres to internal standards, policies, and procedures. Performs other duties as assigned. QUALIFICATIONS INCLUDE: Prior experience with billing or other accounting functions desirable. High School Diploma or equivalent Flexibility to work overtime and weekends, if needed. Demonstrated proficiency with Microsoft Office, especially Excel and Word. Ability to organize and prioritize workload. Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal. Knowledge of electronic billing processes and procedures preferred. Prior experience with billing or other accounting functions desirable. Ability to prioritize effectively. WORKING CONDITIONS: The primary work environment for this position is in the office. Visual perception to perform activities at distances close to the eyes. Hearing enough to understand and communicate by telephone and in person. Arm-hand dexterity enough to demonstrate and operate keyboards and small office equipment. Requires the ability to sit or stand for extended periods of time.
