St Pius X Catholic Parish is seeking a Bilingual Parish Secretary to support the Pastor's office duties and assist in communication with parishioners and help fulfill the mission of the Roman Catholic Church. As a St Pius X representative, you must strive to follow the pastoral values of the Archbishop of Service, Stewardship, Communication and Excellence.Bilingual Parish Secretary - This full-time position is responsible for managing and performing front office administrative activities for a vibrant and active Catholic Parish in Aurora, CO.Primary duties and responsibilities include but are not limited to:Managing front office operations of the Parish including Priest's mass scheduleHandling telephone, email, and in-person inquiries from parishioners, parish ministry leaders, volunteers, and visitorsDeveloping parish weekly bulletins (English Spanish)Coordinating the facility usage database and to schedule Parish events and activitiesAdministering weekly Mass intention requestsProcessing Mass stipends, donations, and other payments to Parish's depositsCollaborating documents and accounts to parish business managerPrinting parishioner's tax letters and processing AoD/clergy reportsAnswering calls requiring pastoral assistance from clergy which includes directing the calls to appropriate staff.Processing sacramental certificatesFacilitating retreat and festival expensesOrganizing Catholic celebrations with the Pastor such as Advent and Christmas seasonMonitoring and ordering items for general administrative supplies.Processing payments and keeping schedules for weddings and XV celebrations.Job Qualifications and Skill RequirementsMust be Bilingual (English Spanish)Active member of a Roman Catholic parish preferred.Self-motivated to work independently, problem-solving skills, and strong organizational skills.Excellent communication (oral and written) and listening skills.Flexible personality which enables the person to work well with diverse situations.Proficiency with Microsoft Word, Excel, and Adobe Acrobat, and ability to learn and navigate software applications/database.Experience working within a Parish office and/or previous office management experience is desirable.Compensation$40,000 - $50,000 based on experience - Benefits include an employer funded pension plan, generous paid time off, and excellent medical, dental, and vision insurance.
