Summary
We are looking for an enthusiastic person who can be a key player in our busy service department. A solid understanding of bicycles and basic knowledge of bike systems (how gears and brakes work) are required for this position. Bicycle riders and enthusiasts are preferred. If you like working on bikes, this is the job for you! Working on most Saturdays during spring & summer is required. *** If you do not have prior experience working in a bicycle store, please include any information as to how your skills/background relate to bicycle assembly or cycling when sending us your resume or application.
We provide PAID TRAINING for qualified individuals. We are willing to invest time, money and resources into teaching and training someone to assemble high quality bikes in a fun and fast-paced environment following specific protocols. We'll teach how to assemble bikes from start to finish, including adjustment of brakes and gears.

In this job you will assist our Service Manager &/or Senior Bike Mechanic, simultaneously and independently, to
Assemble and prepare various types of new bikes, including hybrid, mountain, kids and electric models. Install accessories on bikes including racks, fenders, phone cases etc. Perform basic bike repairs such flat tire repairs and tube installations Assist in cleaning customers' bikes that are scheduled for a tune-up Provide some customer service while following Farina's protocols Assist customers who are picking up new bikes and rental bikes Assist in receiving and unloading deliveries of bikes and other equipment Must be able to lift bicycles/equipment/boxes that weights 20-60lbs.
