Description
As a member of the IT team, this role is responsible for design and maintenance of Ball's business processes and tools built on SAP's sales, production, transportation, supply chain and FICO related modules, and third-party tools. The Business Analyst will create and maintain close partnership with Business Management and IT Management teams, including collaboration with Business Analysts, Business Support Analysts, and Business Users. The Business Analyst must ensure business procedures are performed efficiently, and proactively identify innovative opportunities to apply new technical and process solutions to meet business needs and create improved customer, employee and supplier experiences, drive sales, reduce cost to serve, and drive profitability.
Responsibilities
Propose innovative IT solutions to address business needs by understanding business processes and requirements and applying best of class software, hardware and/or services (*20%)
Develop IT solutions by writing functional specifications and coordinating the development with IT staff (programmers, configurators, network, infrastructure, management, etc.) (*15%)
Assure successful implementation and adoption of IT solutions by the business by coordinating testing, documentation, training, change management and communication with the business (*20%)
Timely support of daily business issues by communicating with the business, providing assessments, proposing, and prioritizing solutions (*45%)
*Percentage of time spent dependent on candidate experience and business needs
Requirements BS in Computer Science, Business, Agriculture, or equivalent work experience.
Minimum 3 years of experience design, implementation and/or support of business systems including
Business analysis, process design and writing of functional specifications
Highly creative and innovative individual who is passionate about process design and technology •
Self-motivated about continuous learning
Demonstrated excellent verbal and written communication skills
Demonstrated excellent analytical and problem-solving skills
Proven ability to work both independently and collaboratively
Full systems life-cycle implementations using development methodologies and controls (i.e. ASAP, Agile or ITIL)
Ability to travel average of 5% per year
General understanding or experience with the following Reporting and analytics concepts
Programming and reporting concepts (SQL, EDI, SAP ABAP, MS .NET, R scripting, etc.)
MS Windows environment and Office applications
Desirable Experience Knowledge of Global Agriculture Business model;
including agriculture lifecycle of product development, manufacturing, quality control, sales and distribution of seeds, young plants, or related industries
Experience working on projects using off-shore IT resources
Desirable Technical Experience SAP configuration of sales and distribution, materials management and/or production modules (SAP S/4 HANA, SD, MM and/or PP). Includes SAP development tools (SAP For Me , SAP Notes search and SDN)
SAP modules including EDI (PI), Warehouse Management (WM), forecasting
Development & reporting tools MS PBI, SAP S/4 HANA tables, List views, ABAP Query & ALV
Bar Coding, wireless technologies and IoT devices
Experience w/ testing automation tools
