Ideal candidates should be ready to develop their skills in collaborative, family-centered care, incorporating multiple therapeutic models and interventions including behavior modification, relationship-based practice, and evidence-based practice. They should be flexible, team-oriented, and eager to learn from the diverse experience of our outstanding therapists and staff!
Responsibilities Maintain a caseload of behavior therapy groups, individual therapy sessions and daily case management tasks. Complete daily treatment notes, daily data input and analysis, plan of care documents to update goals and other documentation as needed within required time frame. Implement Blue Bird Day curriculum and to theories of practice models supporting Blue Bird Day's therapeutic model. Participate in on-going collaboration with the client's team and family including weekly emails, phone calls and in person discussions. Establish and maintain relationships with clients and families by providing parent education, home programs, and parent support as needed. Collaborate with scheduling team to manage caseload requirements. Create visual schedules, social stories, and home programs to help support therapy goals. Participate in required supervision meetings for first six months of employment and as needed per discretion of supervisor. Report directly to your supervisor on all tasks, employee performance and meetings as needed. Participate in yearly performance review with supervisor. Participate in all required company orientation, professional development days and ongoing trainings as required. Possible travel to client home sessions as needed. Participate in monthly staff meetings, department meetings and as needed team meetings. Possible travel to client home sessions as needed. Follow all company policies and procedures. Requirements High school diploma, GED, or equivalent required; Bachelor's degree preferred Experience working with children or clients with special needs required Experience working with children with autism preferred Who We Are Blue Bird Day is a n intensive therapy program for children with autism, ADHD, and other developmental disorders . Our therapies are offered in a preschool -like setting, but instead of teachers, our "classes" are run by therapists . Our collaborative team provides occupational, physical, speech, developmental, ABA, and other therapies to help our clients reach their unique goals. We have locations in Chicago's West Loop and Northcenter neighborhoods and in Wheaton , and we're growing!
