What does a Behavior Specialist do? As a new Behavior Specialist on our New Vista program you can expect to work closely with adolescents of all ages to assess their behavior and develop treatment plans. Your day-to-day tasks will include conducting behavioral assessments, implementing interventions, and monitoring progress. With a flexible schedule that may require working variable shifts from 6:00AM-6:00PM Monday-Friday, you'll have the opportunity to provide support to clients at different times to accommodate their needs. What matters most To excel as a Behavior Specialist, strong communication skills are essential. You should be able to effectively interact with clients, families, and other healthcare professionals. Additionally, problem-solving skills and the ability to think critically to assess behavior and develop effective intervention plans are crucial. Familiarity with behavioral assessment tools and techniques is a plus, as is the ability to implement and monitor behavior intervention strategies.
Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite or other similar software may be required to document client progress and maintain accurate records. Being detail-oriented, empathetic, and adaptable in a fast-paced healthcare environment will contribute to your success in this rewarding role.
High School Diploma or GED is required
Spanish Speaking may increase the wage offered.

Employment at Wasatch Behavioral Health is contingent upon successful completion of a drug screen, motor vehicle record review and criminal background check. After hire you must complete and receive a Criminal Background Clearance (BCI) from Utah State Office of Licensing.
