JOB TITLE: Bay Lead Service Mechanic DEPARTMENT: Service FLSA STATUS: Non-Exempt REPORTS TO: Assistant Service Manager Summary: Reporting to the Assistant Service Manager, the incumbent assists in planning and executing tank truck changeovers in the service department.

Essential Job Functions: Install fluid delivery systems on lube vans, petroleum tank trucks and trailers Fabricate and modify components of fluid delivery systems which involves cutting, bending, welding, and attaching metal and aluminum materials Effective communication with the Assistant Manager on any impediments to the production process resulting in potential delays to the end customer Read job orders to determine work to be performed per customer request Assemble ready-made and fabricated components to build fluid delivery systems Repair fluid delivery systems by replacing malfunctioning parts Required Competencies: Ensure compliance with Company Safety, OSHA, R-Stamp, and DOT policies/regulations by all personnel Ensure adherence to standard operating procedures (SOPs) affecting Production Ensures quality assurance with welding and fabrication on the tank Champion the Seneca Tank core values Serve the customer above all else Do what you say you will do Understand the value of reputation Whatever you do, do it well Put in more than You take out Required Qualifications: Experience building or repairing diesel, gas, or hydraulic equipment utilizing hand, electric, and pneumatic tools Can work unsupervised in tank truck unloading assembly, chassis prep, or product testing Proficient in fabrication, welding, electrical, mechanical, or pneumatic systems ASME welding certified Follow, correct, and improve blueprints/schematics Troubleshoots and repairs simple to complex problems Can read workorders and identify any issues with parts or build Responsible for bay efficiency and delivery deadlines Performs in-process quality checks Manages bay hours and effectively records in appropriate system Physical Demands: Position requires ability to pass DOL requirements of a grade 4 heavy work physical capacity profile. This includes exerting 50 to 100 pounds of force occasionally, and/or 25 to 50 pounds of force frequently and/or 10 to 20 pounds of force constantly. Visual requirements include clarity of vision at a distance of more than 20 inches and less than 20 feet without correction, color vision, depth perception and field of vision Must be able to perform the following physical activities: Climbing, balancing, stooping, kneeling, crouching, reaching, standing, walking, pushing, pulling, lifting, fingering, grasping, feeling, talking, hearing and repetitive motions Safety: Follow U.S. Department of Transportation (D.O.T) regulations regarding petroleum tanks, trailers, and box vans, as well as the policies found in Seneca Tank's Safety Manual
