JOB DESCRIPTION: A Bartender is responsible for taking food and beverage orders; entering orders quickly and in proper sequence; serving food and beverages for guests at the bar and tables in the restaurant, if required; coordinating with the kitchen to ensure timely service and quality of the food; and providing the highest quality of service to the customer at all times; performing all other responsibilities as directed by the business or as assigned by management.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES: Takes food and beverage orders, places orders, delivers orders, checks back after delivery of food and beverage to ensure guest satisfaction, observes guests to respond to any additional needsMaintains bar and table appearance by pre-bussing, checks drink levels, removes clutter and provides adequate napkins, etc.Presents check for payment, processes payments, and provides change, as neededStocks and organizes bar, as requiredEnsures friendly welcoming service at all timesProcess payments via POS register systemFollows customer service, adult beverage, and cash handling policies and proceduresKeeps assigned station clean, sets up and takes down station tables appropriatelyAny and all duties assigned by managementMINIMUM REQUIREMENTS: The requirements listed are representative of the knowledge, skill, and/or ability required. Must meet state minimum age for serving alcoholic beveragesMust have at least 6 months of closely related bartending/serving experienceWork experience in high volume or fast casual dining restaurant environment preferredMust be able to pass required state food safety certification requirementsMust have reliable transportationMust be able to pass pre-employment testing (i.e. drug test, background check, etc)Must have full availability and be able to work days, evenings, nights, weekends, and holidaysKNOWLEDGE / SKILLS / ABILITIES: Ability to read, write and speak English (multi-lingual a plus)Ability to understand, follow and give written and oral instructionsAbility to speak, read and comprehend instructions, correspondence and policy documents, as well as converse comfortably with guestsAbility to interact with guests and coworkers in a friendly, enthusiastic and outgoing mannerAbility to work harmoniously with fellow employees and guestsEnsure uniform and personal appearance are clean and professionalFollow all company policies and proceduresThank guests with genuine appreciationAbility to speak with others using clear and professional languageSkills to develop and maintain positive working relationships with othersAbility to lift, push, pull, and/or carry up to 20 lbsAbility to (Ability to frequently immerse hands in water and water diluted with chemical solutionsAbility to work indoors and outdoors, including prolonged exposure to extreme temperatures Compensation: $10.00 per hour
