We are seeking a motivated and talented Barber Instructor to join our team. In this role, you will play a vital part in shaping the skills and knowledge of future barbers, preparing them for successful careers in the industry. Responsibilities: Deliver a comprehensive barbering curriculum, adhering to Washington State licensing requirements Provide hands-on instruction in all aspects of barbering, including haircutting techniques, shaving, styling, and client consultation Evaluate student progress, provide constructive feedback, and identify areas for improvement Maintain a positive and professional learning environment, fostering a passion for the barbering craft Stay current with the latest barbering trends and techniques through continuing education Contribute to the overall success of the barbering program by participating in program development and improvement initiatives. Correspond with outside vendors and agencies regarding payments, supplies, orders and student enrollments Verify timecards for students Schedule customer appointments Conduct new student orientation classes Prepare facility for educational inspections Compile and distribute student progress reports Other duties as assigned This person will work closely alongside with and report directly to the owner. Qualifications: Washington State Barber Instructor License Minimum of 3 years of experience as a licensed barber Proven teaching experience preferred, but not required Excellent communication, interpersonal, and motivational skills Ability to create a positive and supportive learning environment for students Strong work ethic, passion for the barbering industry, and a commitment to student success Proven history of working independently, with minimal supervision Prior experience counting cash and/or conducting business related bank deposits Knowledge of MindBody or similar client scheduling software Ability set up chat messages, files, folders and interface with Microsoft Teams and use other Microsoft products
