Banquet Server

The Banquet Server at Madison Beach Hotel is responsible for providing exceptional guest service during all banquet and catering events. This is a part-time, hourly hospitality/restaurant job located in Madison, Connecticut. As an individual contributor, the Banquet Server will ensure that all guests have a memorable experience while upholding the luxury standards of the hotel.Compensation & Benefits:This position offers an hourly rate of $6.38 per hour, plus tips, paid biweekly. In addition, the employee will have opportunities for career growth within the hotel and may receive discounts on hotel stays and other amenities.Responsibilities:Greet and welcome guests to the event, providing excellent customer service throughout the meal.Set up banquet rooms according to the event specifications, including tables, linens, and decorations.Serve food and beverages to guests, following proper etiquette and adhering to all safety and sanitation guidelines.Respond to guests' requests and inquiries, ensuring timely and professional service.Monitor and replenish banquet supplies during the event, including water, silverware, and condiments.Clear tables and clean up banquet rooms after events, ensuring that the space is left in excellent condition.Requirements:High school diploma or equivalent preferred.Prior experience in a similar role in the hospitality industry is preferred.A positive attitude and excellent customer service skills.Ability to stand and walk for extended periods and lift up to 25 pounds.Flexibility to work weekends, evenings, and holidays as needed.Knowledge of safety and sanitation guidelines.Must be able to pass a background check and drug screening.EEOC Statement:The Madison Beach Hotel is an equal opportunity employer and does not discriminate on the basis of race, color, religion, sexual orientation, gender identity, national origin, age, disability, or any other protected status.
