Summary of Job Duties:
Milk Bank Manager oversees milk bank pasteurization lab technicians in the day-to-day operations related to milk processing to include but not limited to direct operations, develop timetables on output for the lab, oversee the processing of milk and maintain required records of processing and testing. This role is responsible for maintaining equipment and ensuring upkeep, maintaining par levels on all supplies needed for operations. Duties include assisting with donor milk intake, shipping and receiving, ensure cleanliness of lab and all equipment therein on a schedule and will keep records as well as be able to supplement the milk bank technician role when needed, assisting in the milk processing, will supervise and/or perform milk macronutrient analysis, communicate with DOH/Food Science lab for micro bacterial testing and train pasteurization lab technicians as appropriate. This role will maintain FDA, HMBANA and Arkansas Department of Health guidelines and will keep records as required.
Qualifications:
Minimum Qualifications:
Bachelor's in biology, biochemistry, or health sciences field of study PLUS Two (2) years of supervisory/managerial experience in healthcare or basic sciences.
Possess food preparation certification and PCQI certification (within 6 months of hire).
Knowledge of Breastfeeding and lactation programs.
Have familiarity with Workday.
Preferred Qualifications:
Care for Breastfeeding Family, Inpatient and Outpatient

Responsibilities:
Maintain cost within budgeted dollars assigned to include staffing hour and supply.
Maintain FDA, HMBANA and Arkansas Department of Health guidelines and will keep records
Assist with research data collection
Provide tours as needed and educational offerings on the operations overview of milk bank lab
On call for freezer outages and maintain along with program director the plan for alternative freezer storage
Interacts with and assists the public in a professional and friendly manner as needed.
Demonstrates effective communication skills; communicates accurate and complete information; maintains strict confidentiality when necessary.
Demonstrates positive working relationships with co-workers, management team, and ancillary departments; follows the Core Concepts of Patient and Family Centered Care and the Basic Code of Conduct Guidelines.
Assist internal and external stakeholders as needed with exceptional customer service.
Perform other duties as assigned.
