TekCom Resources is seeking a Backhoe Equipment Operator for a full-time, permanent-hire role with our telecom construction client covering East Oregon and Northern Nevada!
As a Backhoe Equipment Operator , you will operate heavy equipment necessary for underground fiber and copper installations - i.e. plowing, installing ducts, pulling fiber/copper, and burying drops. You will also use tools and equipment needed for cable placement. This work is focused mostly on the Oregon and Idaho border as well as some work in Northern Nevada. Overnight and traveling required for some locations. Responsibilities: Operate heavy equipment to plow, place duct, pull cable, and directly bury main-line and drops. Locate & verify all telecommunication utilities before construction. Performing routine quality checks and maintenance of work site and equipment. Ability to identify and troubleshoot problems. Operate company vehicles daily to deliver heavy equipment materials and various tools. Provide daily reporting on project updates in internal tracking databases. Communicate with Lead and Field Manager. Our client would like to see this experience in your background: At least 1-2 years of operating equipment, including, but not limited to a trencher, backhoe, excavators, directional drills. CDL License and Clean MVR REQUIRED Adhere to strict safety standards while ensuring the highest quality of work is completed efficiently and timely. Ability to travel and work outside in all types of weather. Must be able to lift up to 50lbs. Key Terms:
