Our client, a successful financial technology and services company, currently seeks a skilled and experienced AWS Certified Solutions Architect to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for designing, deploying, and managing cloud-based solutions using Amazon Web Services (AWS). You will work closely with our engineering and operations teams to ensure that our infrastructure is scalable, secure, and efficient, and you will play a key role in agile release management processes. This position will require the selected candidate to work in the company's Edison, NJ office.
Responsibilities: Architecture Design: Develop and implement cloud solutions architecture based on AWS services that meet the needs of the business. Solution Deployment: Manage and execute the deployment of cloud-based solutions, ensuring they are efficient and secure. Consultation: Work with stakeholders to understand their needs and translate these into technical requirements and solutions. Optimization: Continuously monitor and optimize cloud infrastructure for cost, performance, and security. Documentation: Create and maintain technical documentation for architecture designs, implementations, and standard operating procedures. Troubleshooting: Diagnose and resolve technical issues related to AWS infrastructure and services. Security: Implement best practices for security and compliance, including data protection and identity management. Automation: Develop scripts and tools to automate repetitive tasks and improve system efficiency. Training & Support: Provide guidance and training to team members on AWS services and best practices. Agile Release Management: Participate in agile release management processes, including sprint planning, release planning, and coordination of deployments. Ensure smooth and timely delivery of features and updates. Requirements: Certification: AWS Certified Solutions Architect (Associate or Professional level). Experience: Minimum of 3-5 years of experience in a similar role with hands-on experience in designing, deploying, and managing AWS infrastructure. Technical Skills: Proficiency in AWS services such as EC2, S3, RDS, Lambda, VPC, CloudFormation, IAM, and others. Scripting & Programming: Knowledge of scripting languages (e.g., Python, Bash) and experience with infrastructure as code (IaC) tools such as Terraform or AWS CloudFormation. Networking: Strong understanding of networking concepts and experience with VPC design and management. DevOps Practices: Familiarity with CI/CD pipelines, automation, and orchestration tools. Security Best Practices: Deep understanding of AWS security services and best practices. Agile Methodologies: Experience with agile methodologies and release management processes. Communication: Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to work effectively with technical and non-technical stakeholders. Problem-Solving: Strong analytical and problem-solving skills. Preferred Skills and Qualifications: Advanced Certification: AWS Certified Solutions Architect – Professional. Additional Certifications: Other relevant AWS certifications (e.g., AWS Certified DevOps Engineer). Experience with Databases: Proficiency in managing AWS databases like DynamoDB, Aurora, and RDS. Containerization: Experience with containerization technologies like Docker and orchestration tools like Kubernetes. Monitoring & Logging: Familiarity with AWS CloudWatch, AWS Config, and third-party monitoring tools.
