Position Summary The Assistant Vice President of Branch Operations retains full responsibility for planning, directing, organizing, and controlling the operational and sales activities of the Credit Union branches and Contact Center. Develops, introduces, and monitors operational policies and procedures. Devises sales training materials and supervises implementation through direct management team. Visits assigned departments on a regular basis monitoring quality of member service and sales performance; this includes Stevens Point, Marshfield, Neenah, and Neillsville. Accountable for branch growth and profitability through the expansion of member relationships. This position ensures that the existing business infrastructure has the capacity, training, and knowledge to achieve the CU's strategic goals. Dependability. 100% responsibility, 0 excuses This is a full-time position, Monday through Friday, that always projects a positive and friendly image through interactions with members and co-workers. This position will work out of our Marshfield or Stevens Point location, and a hybrid work schedule is available. Essential Functions Communicate goals and direction with direct managers to ensure clear understanding of rules, regulations, requirements, and expectations. Partner with VP of Risk to implement and monitor procedures to comply with credit union policies and governmental rules and regulations. Work with other department leaders to maintain consistency in credit union policies and procedures. Develop and apply new policies and procedures for branch operations. Provides leadership within a proactive, consultative sales environment with overall accountability to ensure branch sales and growth objectives are met. Ensure the security and safety of each branch. Hire and oversee managers directly and department teams indirectly. Maintain a well-trained, highly motivated team. Prepare budget for branches, contact center, and ATM networks as well as track on an ongoing basis for adherence. Oversee the development and monitor performance standards. Provide mentoring and coaching to support and develop managers and team. Coach, mentor, and partner with direct management team to carrying out major plans, projects, and procedures consistent with established policies and strategic directives. Develop and/or assist in the development of training for branch and contact center teams. Regularly schedule team meetings which include direct management team. Assist managers in resolving complex member complaints. Assume duties and responsibilities of Branch Manager on a relief basis. Keep abreast of changes in the industry and react to changes in a way that maintains competitiveness. Reinforce continuous collaboration and respectful communication between all departments by promoting strong, positive, and productive working relationships through the commitment to the company's core values, vision and mission statements. Requirements: BS degree in Business, Finance, or Accounting or equivalent combination of education and experience. 5-7 years of business finance experience; an additional 2 years of experience in managing a financial team preferred. Exceptional analytical skills with a strong attention to detail, ability to plan, prioritize and organize work effectively and efficiently. Exceptional written and verbal communication skills. A high degree of mental concentration to interpret and act upon a wide range of situations, even under pressure. Demonstrates core values in every interaction with members and co-workers.
