The Gig:

We're on the search for an epic individual to deliver a seamless, organized, wow-worthy Compensation & Workforce Planning program at Virgin Voyages. This person will be the subject matter expert for all things related to Compensation and Workforce Planning who will ensure our Compensation Strategy and philosophy are carried out in our projects and initiatives and that the workforce is planned, budgeted and analyzed for organization efficiency. This includes a wide array of activities such as assessment of market trends, internal and external compensation evaluation and assisting in our merit and promotion cycles for ship and shore. This role will also be responsible for our headcount management and workforce planning and forecasts activities for our shoreside operation.

What You'll Be Up To:

Compensation | Ship and Shore
Analyzes cost of living increases and impact and makes annual recommendations
Works closely with leaders and other stakeholders involved in Compensation discussions
Liaises with leaders to ensure compliance with all job descriptions for each position in the organization;
Conduct internal equity analysis
Responsible for reviewing and analyzing job grading and FLSA exemption status determination.
Conducts comprehensive assessment of compensation survey data, through specific job matching and geographic criteria to establish the correct job ranges and bands
Reviews compensation from a total rewards perspective
Responsible for reviewing and all incentive compensation and bonus models
Develop salary recommendations for new hires and existing crew as well as provide analyses to include review of market value, internal equity comparisons, incumbent qualifications, and performance history.
Prepares and presents summary reports of job analysis and compensation analysis information for departments or leaders as necessary
Evaluates and implements job analysis instruments and materials.
Prepares Reports, analysis and recommendations to the Compensation Committee as needed
Researches employee benefits in similar industries; based on findings, recommends changes or updates to the company's existing benefits or policies

Workforce Planning and Headcount Management | Shore
Responsible for maintaining a holistic view of workforce planning and workforce driver-based scenario planning including hiring, transfers, retention, salary and bonus
Manage the total headcount numbers including contractors, temp workers and full time employees and makes recommendations on numbers and viability
Main liaison between HR and Finance for monthly reporting, reconciliation and forecasting
Instrumental in our annual budget process, assisting our departments with forecasting and budgeting, modeling and forecasting, aligning it with business needs
Focal point for Workforce planning module, training leaders to use it and responsible for its performance
Perform and lead various workforce analysis, develop reports and present to SLT and compensation committee where needed
Work on adhoc modeling for different scenarios (restructuring, M&A etc)
Report to leadership on project progress and risks, budget concerns
Performs other related duties as assigned

Superpowers Required:
Finds joy and purpose in supporting fellow Crew on their compensation questions
Skilled in a variety of compensation models and methodologies
Ability to talk to and influence people of all levels and explain the variables and nuances that are involved in Compensation
Workforce and or Organizational Planning required
Demonstrated knowledge of HR functions & processes, with experience in one or more of the following areas: HR Strategy, HR Employee Experience, HR Operating Models, and HR Technology
6+ years' experience in a Strategic Workforce Planning, Business Strategy, Talent Business Advisor or Business Intelligence role
Proficiency in headcount management, budgeting, accruing and forecasting
Bachelors Degree in Human Resources or Business or related field
3-5 years experience with Workday and the Compensation Modules such as Advanced Comp, Manager Self Service and Adaptive Insights - Workforce Planning
5 years experience directly in Compensation
Experience in travel or cruise lines a plus
Excellent project management, presentation and influencing skills
Must be flexible, creative, and solution forward with a positive demeanor
High proficiency in Excel and Google Sheets
Ability to make administrative and procedural decisions and judgments on sensitive, confidential issues.
Experience in a Google workplace environment a plus
Must have excellent mathematical and analytical skills, and a high level attention to detail and accuracy.
Ability to demonstrate strong critical thinking
Demonstrated ability to perform well in a highly dynamic, geographically diverse, and rapidly changing environment
