Summary:Newton Ford South is seeking a motivated and results-driven Automotive Sales Manager to lead and manage our sales team. This ideal candidate will be responsible for overseeing our sales process and collaborating with marketing/service/finance/leadership teams to develop strategies to exceed dealership goals for customer satisfaction (CSI), unit volume, and financial growth. provide training, supervision, and support to ensure high levels of performance.Hire, motivate, and monitor the performance of sales team member.Build and maintain solid relationships with customers and manage follow-up after the sale to ensure a positive buying experience (from initial inquiry to final purchase) to encourage repeat and referral business.Communicate effectively with other departments, including finance, service, parts, marketing, and inventory management, to ensure a seamless customer experience.Drive all showroom activities.Demonstrate and coach sales team on proper closing techniques.Mentor new and experienced sales reps to improve individual performance and growth.Ensure high customer satisfaction (CSI) scores are achieved and analyze metrics to isolate areas for improvement.Stay up-to-date and maintain an experienced level of knowledge of incoming inventory, vehicle models, features, specifications, accessories and how they benefit customers; as well as understand industry trends, economic environment, and competitive landscape to determine pricing, inventory strategies, and identify potential sales opportunities.Conduct vehicle demonstrations, explain features and benefits, warranty, and service capabilities, to establish the foundation for customer loyalty.Prospect and follow-up on sales leads via various methods - including networking, referrals, call backs, database mining, etc.Ensure proper utilization of our customer relationship management (CRM) system for all prospective/existing buyers and customer interactions.Manage paperwork, including sales contracts and other legal documents.Help negotiate and close sales deals to meet or exceed monthly sales, gross, and expense objectives for our dealership and the original equipment manufacturer (OEM).Conduct daily and weekly sales meetings.Review, monitor, and analyze sales data and sales team actions at the end of each day, week, month, and year to identify areas for improvement with corrective actions, tactics for better time management, and implementation of effective and efficient operational plans.Collaborate with sales team and management to develop and implement strategies for increasing sales, including daily inspection of lot's vehicles, ensuring vehicles are merchandised and priced correctly.Attend sales meetings and training offered by dealership and manufacturer.Ensure all sales staff adhere to company/dealership policies and procedures, including state ethical and legal regulations.Must follow all company safety policies and procedures, and immediately report any and all accidents to management.What You Need:High school degree or equivalent required.Minimum 2 years of sales management experience with previous responsibility for variable operations at a dealership and a proven track record in leading teams.Aptitude for sales, having at least 3 years of experience in automotive sales.Successful history of building, mentoring, and training a sales team with above average gross and net profits.Expertise in supervising everyday activities of sales desk managers and increasing finance and insurance (F&I) income.Strong capability in building showroom and internet traffic.Excellent communication, management, and interpersonal skills with the ability to motivate and inspire a team.Strong customer service skills.Professional personal appearance.Positive attitude and good work ethic (accountable, adaptable, honest, trustworthy, committed, enthusiastic, energetic, persistent, diligent, outgoing, goal-oriented, self-driven, etc.).Extensive knowledge of the automotive industry, products, competitors, including familiarity with sales processes, market trends, and customer satisfaction techniques to make informed sales strategy decisions.Strong negotiation and closing abilities; aptitude to handle and overcome objections while being persuasive, professional, and friendly.Ability to work in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment with ability to adapt to changing priorities.Proficiency in Microsoft Office and other dealership management software.Must be able to work flexible hours, including evenings and Saturdays.Valid driver's license, auto mobile insurance, and clean driving record.All applicants must be able to demonstrate ability to pass pre-employment testing to include a background check, MVR check, and drug screen.Who We Are:We are Newton Motor Group.
