Responsibilities
• Forecasts goals and objectives for the department and strives to meet them• Hires, trains, motivates, counsels, and monitors performance of parts department staff• Prepares and administers annual operating budget for the parts department• Maintains balanced inventory for service department, body shop, wholesale accounts, and public• Establishes pricing parameters for each customer category• Establishes parts inventory levels and maximizes turnover• Ensures proper tagging of parts for full factory credit• Supervises stock order procedures and special ordering policy• Analyzes sales, expenses, and inventory to maintain profit goals• Develops and administers wholesale parts program
Requirements
• Proficient in forecasting and goal setting• Experience in staff management and motivation• Ability to create and administer an operating budget• Knowledge of inventory management and pricing strategies• Strong analytical and sales skills
