About the Position The Auto Glass Repair Technician Trainee is responsible for assisting more experienced technicians carry out repairs and replacements of windshields. The experienced technician will work with you, the trainee, to help teach the process of a quality glass repair. This position comes with most tools, uniforms, and a company vehicle. You will return the company vehicle back to our Mentor, Ohio HQ at the end of each shift.
This is a full-time opportunity that works during the 8:00 am - 4:30 pm time frame, Monday through Friday and occasional Saturdays. The Auto Glass Technician Trainee will report to the General Manager.
Essential Job Functions Assisting with installs or repairs auto glass in shop or on a mobile basis. Provided top-notch customer service to all customers. Maintain a safe and satisfactory driving record according to company policy. Other duties as assigned by supervisor. Minimum Requirements Must be 18 years of age or older High school diploma or equivalent Mechanical ability and aptitude Prior vehicle disassembly experience strongly preferred Ability to lift or carry large and heavy objects (up to 50 pounds) Prior technical schooling or training related to the automotive field is preferred, but not required Valid driver's license with a clean driving record and ability to pass a background and credit check Characteristics Sought Good communication skills to interact with customers, employees, and vendors Open to constructive criticism Meticulous attention to detail Self-motivated and strong work ethic Ability to work independently without supervision Disclaimer: The above statements are intended to describe the general nature and level of work being performed by people assigned to this classification.
