Automotive Detailer

Job Summary:As an Automotive Detailer at James Chevrolet in Johnstown, New York, you will play a critical role in ensuring our vehicles are showroom ready and meet the highest standards of quality and cleanliness. This is a Full Time - hourly Technician / Skilled Labor / Contractor position and you will be responsible for maintaining the appearance of our vehicles through thorough cleaning and detailing.Compensation & Benefits:This position offers a competitive hourly pay rate of $16 to $19 per hour, paid biweekly. In addition, we offer a comprehensive benefits package including health, dental, and vision insurance, retirement savings plan, paid time off, and employee discounts.Responsibilities:Clean and detail vehicles according to company standards and proceduresVacuum, wash, wax, and polish vehicle exteriors and interiorsClean and dress tires and wheelsApply protectant to vinyl and leather surfacesClean and detail engine compartmentsRemove grease and dirt from vehicle components using cleaning products and toolsOperate buffers, steamers, hoses, vacuums, and other equipment to meet clean-up standardsInspect vehicles for cleanliness and report any issues to managementMove and park vehicles as directed by managementMaintain and organize detailing supplies and equipmentAdhere to all safety and sanitation policies and proceduresComplete other duties as assigned by managementRequirements:High School diploma or equivalentPrevious experience in vehicle detailing preferredKnowledge of various cleaning products, tools, and techniquesAttention to detail and ability to work independentlyAbility to work in a fast-paced environmentPhysical ability to stand, bend, and lift for extended periods of timeValid driver's license and clean driving recordMust be able to pass a background check and drug screeningEEOC Statement:James Chevrolet is an equal opportunity employer and is committed to creating a diverse and inclusive work environment.
