Job SummaryThe Automotive Body Shop Manager at Chris Auffenberg Ford (Washington MO) is an important position that oversees the body shop department of the dealership. They will be responsible for monitoring and managing repair work which is done on new and used vehicles, and managing the facility's personnel. The Automotive Body Shop Manager is expected to provide excellent customer service in a timely, organized manner.Compensation & BenefitsThis position offers competitive salary and benefits for the Automotive Body Shop Manager, commensurate with experience. Benefits package includes medical, dental, vision, and retirement savings plans.ResponsibilitiesEnsure that the body shop is staffed properly, meets all compliance standards, and meets performance metrics.Manage body shop personnel including hiring, developing, monitoring, and performance appraisalsOversee facility maintenance and vehicle repairTroubleshoot any customer issues and facilitate effective customer relationshipsEnsure all work is done according to OEM specifications and safety standardsSupervise the ordering and purchasing of parts and materialsMaintain records and ensure compliance with local, state, and federal regulationsEngage in continuous process improvement and cost-cutting activitiesEnsure industry regulations and standards (OSHA, ASE, Federal, State, etc.) are adhered to.RequirementsHigh School diploma or equivalent requiredAutomotive body/paint certificate or equivalent education is preferred3+ years of body shop management/supervisory experienceStrong verbal & written communication skillsThorough knowledge of automotive body shop management practicesAbility to interact with customers and other dealership personnelKnowledge of safety protocols and OSHA regulationsAbility to multitask and handle a fast-paced working environmentEqual Employment Opportunity StatementChris Auffenberg Ford (Washington MO) is committed to creating a diverse environment and is proud to be an equal opportunity employer.
