Automotive Accounting ClerkDepartment: Shared ServicesReports to: ControllerFull time/Non ExemptJob SummaryThe Automotive Accounting Clerk duties include posting new and used vehicle purchases to accounting, posting loaner fees and loaner incentives, and processing dealer trade and customer equity payments.Core ResponsibilitiesPosting vehicle purchases for: new, used, dealer trades, loaners and in house transfers.Daily office receipt and issuing vehicle purchase payments, including equity to customers and vehicle loan payoffs.Posting vehicle holdback receivables, weekly dealer payments, and loaner fees and incentivesAuditing information to ensure accurate and compliant general ledger schedules.Liaison between dealer new and used car manager, used buying team, and administrative office.Cross training in floorplan loan advances and floorplan loan payoffsAny other additional duties assigned by management.Job RequirementsStrong analytical skills and a sense of urgencyPrevious automotive accounting experience preferred, but not necessary.Team player, focused on efficiency and accuracy.Strong communication skills via email/phoneGood organization skills with attention to detailCritical thinker and effective time managerExperience with Microsoft Office/ExcelUniversal ResponsibilitiesAdhere to the Rochester Motor Cars mission, vision, and values in all situations.Follow and utilize the Rochester Motor Cars philosophy of 1-2-3-4-5.Customer EnthusiasmEmployee SatisfactionFinancial PerformanceMarket EffectivenessOngoing Improvement"Grow people, make friends and do good."Exhibit personal excellence by setting a high standard of performance.
