Automation Technologist

Job summary
You will be working as part of the engineering team assisting EGS, automation engineers, and project users in identifying and extracting technical data from a variety of sources.The primary role of the Engineering Technologist is to support the users by providing access or creating user accounts to software and applications supported by Engineering Automation.The Engineering Technologist supports in the preparation of change management documents under the engineer's supervision.

Responsibilities
• Assist EGS, automation engineers, and project users in identifying and extracting technical data• Work with the Engineering Automation team on schedule and reporting work progress• Organize and coordinate software lifecycle documents• Create user accounts and update Engineering Automation website with latest information• Perform routine data quality checks• Provide user assistance related to automation tools• Support training presentations and prepare training documents and slides• Locate and prepare documents for engineers• Ensure work is performed on schedule with high quality standards• Create a work environment that fosters openness, trust, communication, teamwork, empowerment, innovation, and satisfaction
Requirements
• New university grad plus 1 year of work experience• Proficient in software tools (MS Excel, Word, Access, Power Point)• Strong aptitude for utilizing the computer to collect, organize, and present technical data• Analyze data within technical documents and properly classify information• Desire and ability to monitor large quantities of information and extract relevant details• Excellent communication skills• Attention to detail• Bachelor's degree plus 1 year or less of related experience• US Citizenship required• Must be able to complete a pre-employment drug screen and background check
