The Automation Developer Analyst - Senior for the Digital Payments team will provide automation solutions for applications encompassing both test and task, driving efforts to delivery with automation and assisting in automation of both data & environment.Detailed Description:This role requires proficiency in test automation tools, functional testing, regression testing, integration testing and understanding of TDD and ATDD. The Automation Developer must have the ability to translate functional User Stories into quality automated test cases. To be successful the candidate must be driven and well-organized, with strong learning and training abilities. It is essential for the individual to be self-motivated and tenacious, thrive in a collaborative, fast-paced environment, and complete tasks to agreed schedules. This resource must also have a solid background and understanding of industry standard automation and manual testing, quality assurance methodologies and automation solutions. The Scrum Team will look to this individual to assist in software releases on an on-going basis and coordinate the tasks and activities of the broader testing team.Primary Responsibilities:
Responsible for the planning, integration, test case scripting and execution of all testing to ensure proper coverage for Rest APIs.Design & maintain automation scripts using RestAssured framework for task delivery, which include reports, data management, and environment setup.Work on multiple projects/systems as a project team member and are considered to be a subject matter expert for a single project/system. These projects are of moderate to high complexity within one or more development environmentsCollaborates with the Business, BSA and Development teams in the analysis, review and translation of User Stories to ensure testability, coverage, and to create and execute test cases for large business initiatives. Automate these test cases, and execute on regular basis.Create and maintain test cases and test data using test automation tools.Actively participate in the review of architectural and technical design specifications.Works with the scrum team on defect analysis and triage.Assigns defect severity and manages defects throughout the sprint.Perform all aspects of verification, including integration testing, functional testing, and regression testing.Develop and implement well-defined test automation framework.Creates test status reports from the automation runs via ADO (Azure Dev Ops).Creates test results and test summary deliverables to ensure production implementation readinessIdentifies any potential quality issues per defined processes and escalates potential quality issues immediately to management.Collaborates with Test Lead on estimating the test efforts.Participate in production validation and support as needed.Collaborate with the delivery organization to ensure maximize efficiency in the use of software delivery tools and processes.Works under moderate supervision with some latitude for independent judgement and problem solving.Provides mentorship to junior team members as neededUnderstands and follows the agile lifecycle methodology consistently.Comply with the client's standards of the SDLC and adhere to testing strategies & procedures within the industry standard.Job Requirements:Minimum Requirements:
Bachelor's degree in computer science or equivalent transferable experience through coursework, internships or work experience5+ years developing test automation.Must have experience in building automation script using RestAssuredExperienced working in middleware/REST APIsAutomation experience with industry standard testing/development and quality assurance methodologies and validation processes.Proficient in Azure Devops or Jira with defect tracking, document management, and knowledge base systems.Proficiency in using testing tools Microsoft Test Plans, query experience with (SQL Server) and Internet Technologies (different browsers, HTML, JavaScript, etc.), RestAssured, SOAP UI, Mainframes.Knowledge of ATDD & TDD.Good understanding of Object-Oriented Programming, preferably JavaStrong aptitude in both business and technology.Excellent verbal and written communications skills; ability to explain system issues clearly and concisely and establish effective working relationshipsHigh motivated with strong organizational, analytical, and problem solving skillsAbility to effectively prioritize and execute tasks in a high-pressure environment.Willingness and drive to learn and understand detailed software solutions.Preferred Requirement:
Automation experience using RestAssured framework.Experience with Keyword, Modular and data driven framework, performance testing using Jmeter or any other open source technology. Preferred experience with database and service testing.Experience in scrum and implementing TDD or ATDD.Preferred individual with testing & agile certification like CSTE, CQAA, ISTQB, PSM, PSD, CSMGood understanding of Object-Oriented Programming preferably Ruby, C#, or Java.Knowledge of web development framework like MVC. Skilled in recognizing patterns and creating re-usable scripts.Good understanding on industry standard databases like Oracle 10g, MS Sql Server, etc.Competencies:
