Job Description
We are seeking a talented and detail-oriented AutoCAD Drafterto join our client, a unique manufacturing organization located in the north suburbs of Chicago. As an AutoCAD Drafter, you will play a crucial role in translating project specifications and concepts into accurate and precise technical drawings. Your expertise will contribute to the success of construction and architectural projects by producing comprehensive plans that guide installation teams and ensure the highest quality standards. This position offers an exciting opportunity to work in a dynamic environment within the construction industry.AutoCAD Drafter Responsibilities: Collaborate with project managers and engineers to understand project requirements, objectives and design specificationsCreate detailed and accurate AutoCAD drawings for architectural projects, including layout plans, elevations, sections and construction detailsIncorporate project-specific details, dimensions, materials and technical information into drawings while adhering to company standards and industry best practicesReview and revise drawings based on feedback from project stakeholders, ensuring that all modifications are accurately documentedCommunicate effectively with cross-functional teams to ensure clear understanding of design intent and requirementsGenerate bills of material as required for release of new projects to manufacturingAutoCAD Designer Requirements:Bachelor's degree in architecture, engineering, drafting or a related field preferred; relevant experience may substitute for formal educationProficiency in AutoCAD software with a strong ability to create 2D and 3D drawings and layoutsPrevious experience in architectural or related construction disciplines is a plusStrong understanding of architectural and construction terminology, concepts and techniqueAttention to detail and a keen eye for precision to produce accurate and error-free technical drawingsEffective communication skills to interact with team members, project managers and other stakeholdersAbility to work independently and collaboratively within a team environmentProblem-solving skills to address design challenges and create efficient solutionsProficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and other relevant software tools
