Auto Body Paint Technician

Colonial Beach Auto is seeking an experienced Auto Body Paint Technician to join our team. As an Auto Body Paint Technician, you will be responsible for applying paint to vehicles and ensuring a high-quality finish. We are a reputable Full-Service Collision Center, Auto Body Repair, Paint Shop, and Computerized Auto Repair company that prioritizes providing top-notch service to our customers.
As a key member of our team, your role will involve preparing surfaces for painting, mixing paint to achieve the desired color, and applying paint using proper techniques and equipment. We are looking for someone with a keen eye for detail and a passion for delivering exceptional workmanship.
Responsibilities Prepare surfaces of vehicles for painting, including sanding, cleaning, and priming Mix paint according to manufacturer specifications to achieve desired color and consistency Apply paint to vehicles using proper techniques and equipment, ensuring a smooth and even finish Inspect painted surfaces to identify and address any imperfections or quality issues Follow all safety protocols and regulations to ensure a safe working environment Keep abreast of new paint products, techniques, and equipment Maintain a clean and organized work area Requirements Proven experience as an Auto Body Paint Technician Strong knowledge of automotive paint materials, techniques, and equipment Ability to mix and match paint to achieve accurate color matching Experience with sanding, priming, and preparing surfaces for painting Attention to detail and commitment to delivering high-quality work Ability to work effectively in a team environment Excellent problem-solving and troubleshooting skills Strong work ethic and time management skills
