THIS POSITION IS BEING STAFFED FOR THE 2024-25 SCHOOL YEAR. ANTICIPATED START DATE IS AUGUST 13, 2024.
An essential function of this position is the ability to work in person and physically report for work on site.
6.5 hours/day
This position will remain open until filled. An initial screening of applicants will take place at 8:00 a.m. on Thursday, March 11, 2024 . Applicants who apply after that date will only be screened and/or interviewed if a successful candidate is not selected from the applicant pool that applied on or after the screening date.
Candidates for this position must be Highly Qualified through one of the following:
Have obtained an Associate's degree, or higher from a nationally or regionally accredited institution of higher education, documented through transcripts; OR Completed a minimum of 48 college credits from a nationally or regionally accredited institution of higher education, documented through transcripts; OR Passed the ParaPro assessment with a minimum score of 455. Documentation of test score must be submitted. JOB SUMMARY: This position is paraprofessional work that requires the teacher assistant to assist the classroom teacher in performing a variety of tasks after training, i.e., emergency plans, health-related plans/services, and carrying out instructional procedures. This position performs work under the direct supervision of the teacher, building administrator, and appropriate Special Education Department administrator.

Hiring Range: $22,424 - $35,431/year ($18.35 - $28.99/hour)* *Salary is based upon the 2023-24 approved salary scale.
