Utah State University is seeking qualified applicants for a 12-month Athletic Training Residency position. Position will oversee the day to day operations of a Division 1 Programs; football and volleyball. Will work on a daily basis with Athletic Trainers, Team Physicians and Team Physical Therapist.
This position shall have a strong working knowledge and understanding of all NCAA rules and regulations regarding compliance issues. Violation of a conference or NCAA regulation, as well as those policies of the university, could create negative publicity and jeopardize the University in conference or NCAA standings. Violations by employees will be documented and dealt with on an individual basis and can be cause for dismissal.

Must be NATABOC certificated and eligible for state licensing in Utah. This will be a 12-month position at $1,850 per month.
Maintain professional competency by successful completion of Continuing Education Units to retain Athletic Trainer Certification by the NATA Board of Certification and athletic training licensing requirements for the state of Utah. Organize and manage athletic training program, including physician consultation, medical record keeping, public relations, inventory reports, and maintain upkeep of training room and equipment. Evaluate injuries and plan treatment programs for male and female student athletes, perform taping and other injury prevention activities, provide rehabilitation of injuries, respond to emergency situations, analyzing conditions and making appropriate responses. Coordinate interactions and activities between the athletic department and various entities on and off campus. Report directly to the Head Athletic Trainer. Other duties as assigned. Minimum Qualifications: Master's degree Must be NATABOC certificated and eligible for state licensing in Utah Graduate from an CAATE accredit program. The environment and physical requirements may change depending on the specific function of the work each department performs. Incumbents may be in both indoor and outdoor environments. Indoors, in an office space, event space, or public space are protected from weather conditions, but not necessarily from temperature changes.

Outdoors, incumbents may not be protected from weather conditions and may be exposed to extreme heat and extreme cold. The incumbent may also be exposed to loud. Bending, crawling, and crouching may be required. Incumbents may be required to lift, push, and/or pull objects up to 50 pounds and be required to walk and/or stand for long periods of time.
