Responsibilities
• Assist the NSO administrator to plan and implement four annual orientation events and programs (includes scheduling, setup, support needs)• Recruit, hire, and train student employees and volunteer staff• Help create and maintain collaborative relationships with stakeholders• Research, acquire, maintain, and manage event inventory• Reconcile purchases with expense reports• Assist with additional events as needed• Help with weekly student newsletter and monitor FYE websites• Attend annual professional development conference
Requirements
• A firm commitment to the mission of BYU• Bachelor's degree and one year of event planning or project management experience OR equivalent combination of education and experience• Proficiency in MS Office Suite• Excellent written and oral communication experience• Ability to collaborate and build relationships• Ability to work professionally under pressure and meet deadlines• Ability to problem solve quickly and think independently• Bachelor's degree in experience design, recreation management, or similar field (Preferred)• Familiarity with university first-year student needs and characteristics (Preferred)• Qualtrics and assessment experience (Preferred)• Familiarity with BYU values, policies, Mission and Aims (Preferred)
