The Associate Merchandising Manager for Art and Decor will be responsible for developing high-level strategy and assortments for assigned categories and overseeing all product development and curation for given assortments. Our categories include apparel and accessories, art and decor, and jewelry. The successful candidate will partner with all cross-functional teams, inclusive of Marketing, Branding and Creative, and Inventory Planning, to ensure strategy execution across all channels of distribution. Possessing a strong understanding of art would be beneficial as the successful candidate will continuously work on new artist recruitment, artist communication, and development.
The ideal candidate will possess the following:
A bachelor's degree in merchandising, retail merchandising, marketing, design, art, or a similar field, and 3 or more years of related experience or 5 or more years of directly related merchandising or art experience
An understanding and working knowledge of catalog merchandising, multi-channel retailing, sales optimization in an online environment, financial planning, and strong analytical skills
Experience working specifically in the arts; understanding gallery models, understanding fine art disciplines and techniques, and being connected to and involved in the art community is a plus
