The Georgetown University School of Nursing (GUSON) seeks a 12-month full-time nursing faculty who is tenure eligible at the rank of Associate Professor or Professor. We seek faculty who share our vision of preparing nurse leaders to advance social justice, dismantle oppressive conditions, promote health equity for all, and shape the future of nursing. This will be achieved through the pursuit of excellence, innovation, critical consciousness and leadership in education, practice, research, scholarship, and service. GUSON welcomes candidates who are prepared to exercise leadership in contributing to the school's strategic priorities including building excellence in research, as well as our commitments to diversity, equity, inclusion, belonging and antiracism. Responsibilities: Contribute to the advancement of nursing science through a well-developed area of research and scholarship Teach and advise graduate and/or undergraduate students, and participate in the development and evaluation of nursing curricula Engage in community and professional service associated with their area of expertise Participate in GUSON governance activities Required qualifications: Earned Doctorate (PhD or equivalent) in Nursing or other related field; if research doctorate is not in Nursing the candidate must have an MSN Ability to meet criteria for appointment as an associate professor with tenure at GUSON (see Tenure-Line Procedure.pdf | Powered by Box ) Experienced in developing research programs and research teams Have an active program of successful scholarship, and a history of consistent substantial external funding (diverse funding mechanisms including NIH) Evidence of an extensive research publication record Eligibility for RN licensure in the District of Columbia Teaching experience with positive, supporting evaluation data and evidence of well-developed area of expertise National and/or international recognition in an area of scholarship Experienced in teaching, advising, and chairing doctoral committees in a PhD program Application Instructions:


Interested individuals should submit: (i) an updated curriculum vitae, (ii) three representative publications, (iii) a statement that describes past engagement with and future commitment to diversity, equity, and inclusion as applicable to your scholarship, teaching, mentorship, or service (no more than one-page) and (iv) names of three references and contact information. To facilitate blind review, applicants should also submit (v) an anonymized statement of three of your most significant contributions to nursing science to date and future research interests (no more than three pages), without reference to information that would reveal identities, professional titles, journal titles or PhD granting institutions.
