We're seeking a future team member for the role of Associate, Paralegal II- Asset Servicing & Digital to join our Legal team. This role is located in Pittsburgh, PA- HybridBackground: The Asset Servicing and Digital business line is responsible for servicing registered and unregistered investment funds, investment managers, banks and other financial institutions, public funds, insurance custody clients, employee benefit trusts, endowments and foundations and other institutional asset owners and supporting BNY Mellon's businesses that develop and license software products and offer related professional services.In this role, you will make an impact in the following ways: Assist attorneys in providing legal services to the Asset Servicing and Digital business.Draft new client contracts along with amendments and restatements for existing client agreements to document legal relationships and commercial terms.Draft, file and maintain department form agreements.Process client requests by obtaining relevant information and asking pertinent questions.With general oversight, conduct preliminary fact-finding and legal or regulatory research and prepare findings for review by attorneys. Support outside counsel engagements, by arranging critical exchange of information and reviewing incoming documents for relevance and proper dispensation.Maintain and update document files and electronic documentation systems to preserve and protect sensitive client and firm information.Contribute to achievement of firm and department objectives.To be successful in this role, we're seeking the following:Bachelor's Degree, Paralegal Certificate or the equivalent combination of education and experience is required.1-3 years paralegal experience preferredExcellent written and oral communications skills.Proven ability to handle and prioritize multiple tasks to deliver a timely work product.Proven planning, tracking, and organizational skills.Flexible and adept in adjusting priorities and adjusting to change.Supportive of diversity, equity and inclusion in the workplace.Mastery of Microsoft Office software and Outlook.Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.Team player.Ability to function independently.Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.Demonstrated initiative, self-motivated and high work standards.Highest standards of integrity and ethicsAt BNY Mellon, our inclusive culture speaks for itself.
