In this role, you will make an impact in the following ways: Assists in responding to and tracking substantial volume of law enforcement subpoenas and other similar document requests from various government agencies/regulators, conducting straightforward legal research, drafting legal correspondence and documents, and performing other legal related duties under the guidance of BNY Mellon attorneys. Communicate with regulators and law enforcement agencies. Conduct outreach to various departments and review records in various databases in order to prepare responses to subpoenas/document requests. Review documents, organize productions to subpoenas/document requests, separate responsive from non-responsive material, maintain meticulous records, update electronic databases/filing systems and track requests and responses. Correspond regularly with attorneys regarding status of subpoena/document requests, identify subpoena/document requests that need to be prioritized and/or that may be particularly sensitive. Support outside counsel billing administration. No direct reports. Contributes to the achievement of team objectives, which includes complete and timely responses to government regulators/enforcement agenciesTo be successful in this role, we're seeking the following: Bachelor's degree or paralegal certificate, or the equivalent combination of education and experience is required. 4+ years of total work experience preferred.
