ABOUT THE ROLE The Associate Manager, Sales Account Management - Walmart Home Cleaning will be a highly motivated associate on the Walmart Sales team in our SCJ sales office in Rogers, AR. In this position, you will report to the Director of Sales for Home Cleaning. You will be responsible for developing and managing the SCJ business at Walmart through clear customer focus and effective business planning to understand opportunities, strengths, and objectives of the customer. The objectives of this role include gaining and maintaining distribution, securing effective shelf position, and selling promotions for the assigned brands. This role is instrumental in driving sales growth, developing strategic initiatives, and fostering strong partnerships with Walmart.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES Analytical Insights
Utilize data analysis tools to identify growth opportunities within the Walmart channel Conduct thorough market research and competitive analysis to inform strategic decision-making Monitor sales performance metrics and key performance indicators (KPIs), providing actionable insights to optimize performance Proactively identify trends and patterns in consumer behavior, leveraging insights to drive sales strategies Collaborate with internal stakeholders to analyze pricing, promotions, and product assortment effectiveness Strategic Planning
Develop and execute strategic plans to capitalize on identified growth opportunities, aligning with company objectives Work closely with cross-functional teams to integrate brand marketing strategies into sales initiatives Establish clear objectives, timelines, and milestones for sales programs and initiatives Identify and prioritize high-impact opportunities to drive incremental sales and market share growth Continuously evaluate and adjust strategies based on market dynamics and business performance Customer Engagement
Cultivate and maintain strong relationships with key stakeholders at Walmart Lead strategic customer meetings and presentations, effectively communicating S C Johnson's value proposition and brand initiatives Collaborate with customer marketing team to develop and execute joint business plans and promotional programs Provide regular updates and insights to Walmart on market trends, consumer preferences, and competitive landscape Act as a trusted advisor to Walmart, offering strategic recommendations to drive mutual business success Display Management
Design and execute impactful display strategies tailored to Walmart's merchandising guidelines and store layouts Conduct detailed analysis of display capacity based on sales rates and store demographics Partner with customer marketing to validate financials and feasibility of display builds Coordinate display setup and execution in both internal systems and Walmart's retail environment Monitor sell-through performance of displays, providing insights and recommendations for optimization Continuous Improvement
Proactively identify opportunities to streamline processes and improve operational efficiency Collaborate with sales leadership to develop and implement best practices for Walmart sales team Participate in regular business reviews and post-promotion evaluations to assess performance and identify learnings Actively seek feedback from internal and external stakeholders to drive continuous improvement Stay informed about industry trends, market dynamics, and retail innovations, sharing insights with the broader team REQUIRED EXPERIENCE YOU'LL BRING Bachelor's degree in business administration, Marketing, or related field and 5+ years of experience in sales, or related roles within the consumer-packaged goods (CPG) industry OR advanced degree in business administration, marketing, or related field and 3+ years of experience in sales or related roles within the CPG industry Qualified candidates must be legally authorized to work in the United States. PREFERRED EXPERIENCES AND SKILLS 2+ years of previous successful account business management experience Strong analytical skills with proficiency in data analysis tools (e.g., Excel, Tableau) Strategic thinker with the ability to translate insights into actionable plans Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build relationships and influence stakeholders Proactive mindset with a drive for continuous improvement and learning Familiarity with retail processes and structures, particularly within Walmart Ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment and manage multiple priorities simultaneously JOB REQUIREMENTS Full-time onsite in Rogers, AR
Remote work is available once per week for eligible employees.
