Maron Marvel has an immediate opening for an associate to join its Chicago office. We are seeking an associate with one to three years' experience for our toxic tort practice group. The candidate will also work on general liability cases. Successful candidates will have exceptional writing, research, and litigation skills.
Job Duties and Responsibilities:
File review and legal analysis of claims and causes of action. Drafting and responding to discovery requests. Motion drafting and research experience. Attend and defend depositions of plaintiff and fact witnesses. Demonstrate ability and desire to manage an active caseload from start to finish proactively. Expert witness retention and collaboration. Trial preparation and attendance. Qualifications:
One to three years' experience in general liability, experience in toxic tort area a plus. J.D. degree from an accredited law school. Admitted to practice in IL, other states a plus but not required. Analytical and problem-solving skills. Solid research abilities and written and oral communication skills. Strong work ethic, ability to self-manage and work in a team environment.
