Responsibilities:Collaborate with internal teams to design and develop efficient web applicationsParticipate in requirements analysis and estimation to advise team of best options to deliver solutions effectivelyAbility to read, understand, and improve existing codeWrite clean, scalable code using JavaScript and java programming languages in adherence with iPipeline development standards and security policiesUI design, development, and unit testing using iPipeline proprietary toolsCreate/maintain XML configuration filesSource control management using GITHUB for project setup and deployments.Understand the intent and priorities behind the changes to business requirements.Identify coding changes and corresponding constraint engine changes.Create and maintain technical design documents.Provide guidance to customers on critical technical decisionsConduct peer code reviews and evaluate risksReview application performance and optimizeTrain and mentor new hires and peersSupport of evening and/or weekend deployments may be required.Skills Requirements:Excellent coding, debugging, and problem-solving skillsAbility to organize and prioritize multiple tasks within tight timelines and budget constraintsAbility to collaborate with co-workers and customers in a fast-paced environmentStrong communication skills for internal and customer communication.Strong troubleshooting skills and resourcefulness to triage issues using different tools and drive things to resolution.Analytical skills to comprehend requirements and make recommendations for design improvements.Familiarity/experience with AGILE methodology4+ years of relevant experienceTechnical Knowledge Requirements:Strong understanding of web application development using .NET technologies including IISExperience with Java based web service design and developmentExperience with Javascript client-side developmentAdvanced understanding of database design and querying using SQL ServerAdvanced XSL design, development and debuggingAbility to challenge business rules for optimal solutionsBasic understanding of Insurance Industry and Products a plusEducation: Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or a related fieldEqual Opportunity Employer/Protected Veterans/Individuals with Disabilities
