The Position
IT Architecture at NNI is responsible for supporting solution & project implementation, by maintaining an enterprise-wide view and a deep understanding of technology and business needs. The IT Architect will ensure that new technology solutions effectively establish new business capabilities and that current solutions are fully optimized.
Responsibilities for this position include: Evaluating new technical solutions for appropriate business, technology, and architectural fit within Novo Nordisk. Evaluating new technologies in support of Novo Nordisks business. Understand the relationships between business processes within Novo Nordisk, and how technology is and can be leveraged for greater effectiveness. Support the standardization of platforms and interfaces across systems, including user identity, APIs, and automation.
Relationships
As the Solution Architect reporting to the Lead of the Digital Solutions Team, your role involves dynamic collaboration with clients through brainstorming sessions, leading to the creation of mockups and prototypes. You will be responsible for designing user interface wireframes, future state process flows, as well as future state system and platform interfaces. This creative process will enable the visualization and implementation of innovative solutions that align with client needs and business objectives.
Essential Functions
Solution Design and Development:
Learn and contribute to the design and development of solutions using Power Platform and automation initiatives, ensuring alignment with business requirements and technological capabilities. Begin to understand and assist in creating and maintaining Azure Dev Ops user stories, solution design documentation, including architecture diagrams, data models, and system specifications
Technical Advisory and Leadership:
Offer support to the team of developers by learning and providing basic technical guidance and recommendations, gaining insights on the practical use of Power Platform and automation to improve business efficiency and drive innovation. Begin to understand the basics of thought leadership in the domain of Power Platform and automation, and contribute to the foundational aspects of technical roadmaps and solution architecture frameworks, thereby supporting the developer team with a clear and practical direction for solution building
Business Interaction:
Start engaging in frequent interaction with business stakeholders to understand requirements, prioritize initiatives, and assist in refining solution designs to align with strategic business objectives. Participate in workshops and brainstorming sessions to observe and learn how to gather and analyze business needs, translating them into basic technical specifications and solution designs
Solution Implementation and Integration:
Assist in overseeing the implementation of Power Platform and automation solutions, learning how to ensure basic integration with existing systems and alignment with enterprise architecture standards
Continuous Improvement and Innovation:
Begin to explore industry trends, emerging technologies, and best practices related to Power Platform and automation, integrating basic ideas and techniques into solution designs. Learn to identify opportunities to enhance existing processes and systems through automation and Power Platform capabilities, contributing to continuous improvement initiatives
Physical Requirements
0-10% overnight travel required.
Qualifications
Education Level:
Bachelor's degree in business, information systems, computer science, or related field preferred. Solid relevant experience may be substituted when appropriate
Experience Level:
A minimum of IT internship experience in relevant architecture or Power Platform Solutions, or other related experience, is required
Proficiency in Power Platform: Demonstrated experience in developing solutions using Power Apps, ChatBots, and Power Automate, gained through IT internship experience or 1 year of relevant work
Solution Design Skills: Proven ability to design and implement effective and scalable Power App solutions, considering user experience, data integration, and business requirements
Technology Proficiency: Solid understanding of Microsoft technologies, including Power Platform, Azure, and Office 365, along with proficiency in using connectors and integrating with external data sources
Problem-Solving Abilities: Demonstrated capability to troubleshoot and resolve issues related to Power App solutions, architecture, and integration with other systems
Data Modeling and Integration: Experience in creating data models within Power Apps, integrating with various data sources such as SharePoint, SQL Server, and other enterprise systems
Business Analysis Skills:
Ability to gather and analyze business requirements, translate them into technical specifications, and effectively communicate with stakeholders
Documentation and Communication:
Strong documentation skills and the ability to effectively communicate technical concepts to both technical and non-technical stakeholders
