Job Description: The Iowa State University Athletics Department is seeking hard working, responsible, motivated candidates for an entry-level, post-graduate associate position supporting the Student-Athlete Development and Letterwinners Engagement units.  This position will receive exposure to professional aspects of collegiate athletics activities in student-athlete development in a progressive learning mode.
Assist with transitional programs, personal/identity development, and career development. Co-teach a course for incoming freshman/sophomores to support the transition to Iowa State and the student-athlete experiences. Assist with coordinating community service and inclusion programming. Maintain accurate data for sustainability of the athletic alumni database. Assist in building programs aimed to grow engagement with current student-athletes. Assist in planning and implementing reunions and special events. Perform all duties in adherence with NCAA, Big 12, and university policies.  Establish and maintain an environment conducive to the welfare, personal development and academic success of the student-athletes. Establish and maintain effective interactions with students, colleagues, university staff and administrators, alumni, and the public. The ideal candidates must possess strong communication skills, ability to work collaboratively, and be highly organized. Candidates are expected to be committed to multiculturalism and working with a diverse student body. This position works primarily daytime office hours but requires the ability to work at assigned evening and weekend events.
Position Details : Structured similar to a post-grad internship. $28,000 annualized salary, plus overtime pay; receives paid time off; full benefits package.
Term of Appointment :  July - May 2025
Candidates must be legally authorized to work in the U.S. on an on-going basis without sponsorship.

• May lead projects of limited scope and complexity
• May provide guidance to students
